Liberty Dance Center, LLC is very excited to provide Waukesha and the surrounding areas with quality dance training.
Our dance center is located at 404 Travis Lane #38, off Highway 59, between East and West Avenues. Our facility offers three dance rooms with sprung dance floors, a dressing room and a waiting area for parents, siblings and students. We expanded!!! Our space is doubled! The new space includes a third, larger dance room, additional restroom, another dressing room and a larger parent/sibling waiting area.
We provide a full schedule of classes ranging from our pre-school program (ages 2-5) to children, teen and adult classes. Styles offered include ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, lyrical, hip-hop, tricks & technique and adult dance fitness. And for those interested, we offer both a performing group and a competitive dance team.
OUR FACULTY
"Miss Kate" Theisen Moody
Owner, Artistic Director, Instructor
Kate has been performing and studying dance for over twenty years. She earned her B.A. in dance from Point Park University, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2003. Kate also spent two summers on the staff of Universal Dance Association (UDA) as an instructor for their dance team camps.
Upon college graduation, she spent two years teaching dance and choreographing musicals in the Philadelphia area. In 2005, Kate returned to her hometown of Waukesha to get married and be near her family. She continued teaching dance full-time and headed the competition team at the studio where she taught. Kate's choreography and dancers have won numerous awards at regional competitions.
Liberty Dance Center, LLC is Kate's dream come true. She is eager to share her passion for dance, with an emphasis on the self-expression and discipline required for excellence in dance and in life.
Since furthering our education is very important to Kate and her LDC staff, Kate and her staff attended Rhee Gold's "DanceLife Teacher Conference" in Orlando, FL in August of 2009.

"Miss Deanna" Dodge
Instructor
Deanna has been dancing for 22 years and has trained in many different styles of dance. She did most of her training in Muscatine, IA and Phoenix, AZ. After graduating high school, Deanna joined "Accompany of Kids" where she traveled around Wisconsin performing. After "AOK", she was offered a full time teaching position at a dance studio. During her 5 1/2 years there, she taught the performing company and numerous competition routines. Deanna has also worked with Kettle Moraine Lutheran Dance team for 3 years.
It has been Deanna's lifelong dream and goal to become a dance instructor. Deanna is married and has a daughter, Malaya.
"Miss Lynn" Clemence
Instructor
Lynn has been dancing for 25 years. She began as a performer and has performed at such venues as Summerfest, Disney Land and World and at the Bradley center as part of the dance team for the Milwaukee WAVE professional soccer team. Growing up Lynn studied and performed ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, hip-hop, pointe, ballroom and Broadway performance. She continued her dance education in college at UW-Whitewater.
Lynn began teaching at age 15 and has used every opportunity to grow as a technician, mentor and educator by attending such conventions as Dance Excellence and Showstopper. Previous to joining the Liberty family, she directed a recreational and competitive dance program. She led the competitive team to win numerous overall awards and even won a Top Studio Director award herself.
Lynn is married to her high school sweetheart and has a son named Walter.

"Miss Michelle" Anton
Instructor
Michelle has been dancing 19 years and teaching dance since she was fifteen. Michelle is currently a senior at UW-Milwaukee and will graduate in May 2011 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance. This past summer Michelle studied abroad in Brazil studying Samba, Capoeira with the Bale Folclorico (an African/Jazz based company). Prior to college, Michelle studied ballet, pointe, modern, jazz, tap, hip-hop, lyrical and competed in both group and solo dances. She also was a member of the studio's performing company, with key roles in the studio's production of the Nutcracker Ballet
Michelle was worked with many professional choreographers and performers including Timothy O'Donnel, Trey McIntyre, Michael Pink, Krislyn World, as well as many others. After graduationg from college, Michelle hopes to continue working with many different artists and continue sharing her love for dance with others through both performing and teaching.
